The Secret is out on "The Cove"...

Image
This week while enjoying my 5 days off in row from work I watched several movies. One them was the documentary "The Cove". This movie was extremely moving and has forever caused me to make permanent changes in my life. Such as never going to another Sea World, aquarium, or zoo. I refuse to support the keeping of innocent animals caged and exploited. I must warn you this movie is graphic and quite disdurbing but very powerful. Here is a little overview of why the movie was made and what it is all about, I got this info from thecovemovie.com The Secret Is Out. Spread the Word. The Cove exposes the slaughter of more than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises off the coast of Japan every year, and how their meat, containing toxic levels of mercury, is being sold as food in Japan and other parts of Asia, often labeled as whale meat. The majority of the world is not aware this is happening. The focus of the Social Action Campaign for The Cove is to create worldwide awareness of this a

Time for a little R&R...

(photo found on weheartit.com) So today is the 4th day of my 5 day vacation of doing pretty much nothing. It's been amazing to just be lazy and shopping. Today I went to Colorado Springs with Jeremiah and his parents and sister to the flea market. That was rather interesting and fun. It was the biggest flea market I have been to yet but I hear this one was still pretty small compared to some of the other ones around. I had a cherry slush and Miah bought me a pretty glass necklace. I love it and will have to post a picture of it soon! After that we all went and ate at Olive Garden that was yummy and followed by a another shopping trip to Gordman's I found some awesome rainbow wellies there at a steal of a price and can't wait to post those either. I'm just not feeling like doing a photo shoot at the moment. We concluded the day trip with some wonderfully tasty Panera my absolute favorite. I grabbed an orange scone , an oatmeal raisin cookie, and a frozen mango d

Image found via WeHeartIt I love this song -- I love what it says because it's so true and what I want. "The Suggestion Box" -Aquaduct Instead of beating me up you should be giving me hope Instead of bringing me down you should be lifting me up instead of starting a fire you should be heating things up I'd never leave you there screaming for my love

Finding Comfort...

(Source: WeHeartit.com) I've missing in action for quite some time here! Just busy the warmer it gets the busier I get it seems. So I finally moved out of my duplex at the end of the month and got my entire deposit back! The landlord even told me I deserved and award for how clean I left the place (he did't even notice the quarter size hole in the middle of my bedroom wall I filled in with cinnamon flavored toothpaste last minute!! hee hee hee!) So now I'm staying with some friends just around the corner from where my new apartment is going to be. I have been living the life over there let me tell you. It's been really nice and I feel totally at home. I'll actually kinda be sad to leave. Which is kinda weird for me cause I usually don't do well living with people. I need my space! Today should be a warm day so I think I might take a dip in the pool after I go to the dentist. xoxo. Ren
