Many changes have happened and mostly positive ones! I quit my job at Express Scripts last April and was a stay at home mom throughout the summer. It was awesome. I worked through the holidays then recently started a new job at an appraisal agency as an office manager. I enjoy the fact that I have a schedule that works for Poesy and I. My mom is babysitting Poe while I work which is awesome, I don't know what I would do without her.
Right now my sister is here visiting and we have had so much fun so far doing lots of stuff and trying to keep the kids busy and happy. So far we have done a lot of swimming, Pueblo West splash pad, colored the older girls hair, henna, nails, Finding Dory at the Drive-In, shopping, Manitou Springs, BBQ's, and lots of laughing. I love when we are all together and when the kids get to play together. Later this week will be going to Walsenburg's little water park.
Until next time....Renniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18358428656573518384noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308534399511663071.post-60080244808212384432015-01-25T20:41:00.000-07:002015-01-25T20:41:57.022-07:00January Planuary...<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MyoC6wH5Os4/VMW2QmkK38I/AAAAAAAACcE/jYSrcFIGREo/s1600/IMG_20150102_231320.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MyoC6wH5Os4/VMW2QmkK38I/AAAAAAAACcE/jYSrcFIGREo/s400/IMG_20150102_231320.jpg" /></a></div>

<br>
Happy New Year!! I'm only a few weeks late. This month seems likes it has gone by with the blink of an eye. I have so many new projects going on I can't keep my days straight half of the time. I started hosting cardsome fun card classes where I put kits together and a bunch of crafty ladies get together and assemble them.I have Poesy's 2nd birthday coming up to plan. This year we are having it at a tumbling place since I will have a two year old who loves to jump and climb on EVERYTHING. I think it's going to be a blast!
Then we have we have our October wedding to plan! We couldn't decide if we were going to to do an actual wedding for sure or not but we decided to go ahead and have one. We want to celebrate each other and it is sure to be alots of fun. The colors will be mainly black with grey and orange accents and a shabby chic Halloweenie theme. The date is set for 10.30.15 After Poesy's party I want to get started on the decor since I want it to be primarily handmade of course! I'm not one to need fine China or expensive chair covers. I prefer a more cozy relaxed wedding to a more elegant one, it's just not us. I plan on documenting the planning process here so check back often.
So that's what I have going on right now along with my many crochet orders I'm trying to keep up with, the never ending laundry and dirty dish piles, the organizing of our house, Lynvarious other craft projects, and of course let's not forget I work full time and have a family. But no complaints here, I wouldn't want it any other way!

<br>
<br>
I am just loving this fall weather we are having these days. I love being able to have all the windows open in the house and have a cool breeze come through. We are pretty much ready for Halloween as far as decorating the house goes. I didn't get as crazy as I normally like to because Poesy likes to grab, pull, and destroy pretty much anything she can get her little mitts on. What can I expect though really when there are cool shiny things within her reach!
<br>
<br>
She is growing so fast and is so smart. She makes me just want to sit and watch her all day. She likes to sing and dance. Her favorite song is "Happy Birthday". Her list of words is getting longer each day and so is her wild and crazy hair. She wears size 18 months clothes, size 4 shoes, and size 3 diapers. Teething is not as bad as it once was but still bugs her sometimes at night. We are still co-sleeping - we were going to try to get her into her own crib but it was harder on us than her I think. I'm not ready to let her go just yet!
<br>
<br>
We went to the pumpkin patch weekend before last and she picked her own pumpkin and walked all over the patch all by herself. She looked so adorable in her little pumpkin costume and boots.
<BR>
<BR>
Here are some pictures from that weekend:

Poesy's first birthday party in pictures! We has her party at our church and it was simple and perfect. We had a nacho bar for food and Poesy really seemed to enjoy her cake. She got lots of adorable gifts and all our favorite people were there. I can't believe in just four months we will be celebrating her 2nd birthday! Now for the photos...

<br>
Summer is almost here and I have yet to post one entry for Spring!! I'm sad I have not blogged these past few months to help me remember this time in my life with Poesy. I have a goal to blog at least once a week so I can make sure to document different things going on in my little corner of the world.
<br>
<br>
On the home front we are still getting comfortable in our new home. We have yet to unpack 75% of our stuff and we are doing just fine without it. However, it would be nice to have the garage emptied so we are going to start working on purging ALOT of stuff we don't need and haven't missed. I love our little bungalow, it's cozy and just the right size for us. I will post some pics in a later post to show the before and after so far.
<br>
<br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HoIPyiOax6Q/U3pQHiU2nCI/AAAAAAAACXs/EgEA-KRLAUg/s1600/IMG_2238.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HoIPyiOax6Q/U3pQHiU2nCI/AAAAAAAACXs/EgEA-KRLAUg/s400/IMG_2238.JPG" /></a></div>
<br>
<br>
Poesy, Poesy, Poesy... Where do I even begin. This little girl is a firecracker that is for sure. She turned 1 year old in February and started walking exactly one week from her birthday, she quickly went from walking to running to climbing to now wanting to jump off of the things the climbs onto. She is our fearless tomboy. I'm going to have to start keeping notes on things she does that I want to write about because there are so many funny things she does. She keeps me laughing all day long and that is my favorite thing to do! Her birthday was a success and I will be doing a post on that next!
<br>
<br>
Here is what she is doing now at almost 15 months:
<br>
<br>
Milestone & New Discoveries:
<br>
- She is finally starting to eat real food, she is a little picky but it is a relief that she will actually try stuff now
<br>
- We found out she is allergic to grass, pollen, and mold
<br>
- She loves to climb onto her little chair and then onto the couch and sit like a big girl
<br>
- She likes Dora and Yo Gabba Gabba
<br>
- Poe really enjoys her bath time and runs and picks out her toys and throws them into the tub
<br>
- She has 8 teeth so far
<br>
- She LOVE LOVE LOVES being outside
<br>
- Always dancing
<br>
- Favorite songs: Twinkle, Twinkle & Happy Birthday
<br>
- She weighs almost 18 lbs! She is tiny and adorable.
<br>
<br>
Poe's Vocab:
- Momma
- Dada
- Bamma (Grama)
- Cool
- Ooooh!
- What's that?
- Who's that?
- Bubbles!
- MOM!
<br>
<br>
The weather is FINALLY warming up and staying that way this week so I want to make sure we get out and do some sunshiny things before it starts getting too hot.
<br>

Happy New Year!! Another month has gone by and our little Poe is turning into quite the ham! She is a little show off and LOVES the attention. She claps, dances, and makes silly faces. She is such a nut and I love it cause she makes me laugh all the time. Her little laugh is funny too so then it makes me laugh even more. Her new thing is dancing and she love the Subway "Five dollar foot long" song it hilarious!
<br>
<br>
Christmas was a whole new experience this year. The preparation and new traditions for my own baby was so much fun. She opened maybe half of one gift but seems to like all her toys she got. She got mostly Fisher Price toys, very colorful and durable! She got some Lala loopsies, a princess castle, a walking toy, Hello Kitty Vans (shoes), tons of clothes, and a new coat. She was very blessed this year. Christmas Eve we spent half the evening at my parents and the other half at Jeremiah's. Christmas Day we opened gifts together as a little family in the morning at home just the four of us! Then we got ready and went back to my parents and did stockings with all the other kiddos and then headed over to Jeremiah's parents to eat and hang out. Both days were very nice. I'm looking forward to spending many more holidays together watching her grow, change, and making memories.
<br>
<br>
Milestones & New Discoveries :
<br>
* Poesy can pretty much eat most all of her baby food with no problem and eats the little puffs all by herself (this is a big thing since she is such a late starter with eating)
<br>
* Her favorite foods are still bananas and carrots!
<br>
* She seems to be gaining weight and is fitting into her 9 months and some 12 months clothes
<br>
* She has her two fangs trying to come through and they seem to be giving her some trouble at night
<br>
* She is ALMOST ready to walk she has taken a few steps on her own and walks around great with her push toys
<br>
* She says Hi! and likes to talk on the phone she called Grama last night for a tiny chat
<br>
<br>
Now it's time to start planning her very first birthday party. I told myself at first I wasn't going to go crazy and it was just going to be a small family thing but how could I not! SHE'S GOING TO BE ONE! I know she will not remember it but I will and she will get to see all the photos :)
<br>
I hope this New Year treats you well!

<br>
It's been almost two months since I have posted anything here on le' blog! We have since found a house and moved in! I love it! It's so warm and cozy. It's located on a quiet street and is just perfect for our little fam. Poesy is such a silly little girl she is growing all the time almost weighs 14 lbs now. She is still itty bitty but her personality makes up for it.
<br>
<br>
Milestones & New Discoveries :
<br>
* Poesy's is now able to eat her solid foods a lot better now without the acid reflex bothering as much
<br>
* Her favorite foods so are bananas and carrots
<br>
* She is still fitting in 6-9 months clothes and can still fit into some 0-3 months!
<br>
* She still only has 2 little teeth on the bottom
<br>
* She loves kids!
<br>
* Poe is standing up all by herself and sometimes takes one step
<br>
* Her and Little Bear are starting to play together and it's the cutest thing
<br>
* I gave her her fist haircut 12/4/2013 -- just a tiny trim in the back
<br>
* She is a climber and a little dare devil
<br>
<br>
This Christmas season has been so much fun already with my Poe. I can't believe this time last year I was pregnant and now she is here and will probably be able to open gifts on her own. In just two short months we will be celebrating her first birthday! I can't even believe that, it's so surreal.
<br>
<br>
Happy Holidays!

Oh my gosh! I just love this time of year. We are having such a beautiful season change. The leaves are looking fabulous and amazing much more this year than the years past. They remind me of rainbow snow cones the way the colors blend together and of the trees when I lived in North Carolina. I am wanting to take Poe to the pumpkin patch this weekend and get her a Poesy-sized pumpkin and a mini photo shoot of her in her costume. These are the types of things I have been looking forward to since I found out I was pregnant and maybe even before that.

I love having a daughter to take places with me, it's so fun. She comes with me to my knitting and crochet groups and is loved by all the kind ladies and the kids too. It's so nice that they welcome me with open arms even if I have a baby. I know some people don't like kids or like things to be strictly for adults so it is nice for me to be able to do something I love and spend my day off with my baby too.

<br>
On another note I'm dying to go get my hair washed! Kinda weird I know, but it's a simple luxury. Washing your own hair is just not the same as someone else massaging your scalp while you lay there an relax. I used to do this all the time when I lived in NC also. I don't know how I started it but I did and I miss it! I guess I REALLY am just an old soul -- a couple more decades and I will be going in for my weekly shampoo set, LOL! So I'm going to find someone to shampoo me on a regular basis and SOON!

That is all for now - Happy Haunting!!

<br>
Poesy Quinn is in full on crawling mode! Getting into things she shouldn't be and sitting up from the crawling position on her own. Watching her learn to crawl was really fun to watch. From the rocking back and forth stage to her moving faster every day. She is still a little peanut and weighs just a little over 12 pounds so her being so tiny and crawling is extra cute to me. This month we took her to have her picture taken. I wasn't impressed by the photographer this time but we were able to get a few cute shots of her and her daddy.
<br>
<br>
Milestones & New Discoveries :
<br>
* Poesy's acid reflux is back and we had to slow down on her solid foods :(
<br>
* She is drooling at the sight of food and drinks
<br>
* She is officially wearing 6-9 month clothing
<br>
* She got two new teeth!!! They are the cutest little teeth too :)
<br>
* She is becoming more social with other kiddos
<br>
* She is at the stage where she is alert and does not want to go to bed and throws fits
<br>
* She likes to throw her toys and have someone pick them up for her over and over
<br>
<br>
In 11 days she will turn 8 months -- This year has gone by in a blink! I'm glad I have so many pictures of her.

<br>
My sweet lovebug turned 6 months on the 21st! She is very mobile these days rolling around like a little tumbleweed and she is pretty good at it . Her teething seems to be bothering her mostly in the evening and at bed time but it hasn't been too bad. It does make me sad to know that she doesn't feel good and her sad face is enough to make anyone cry but it's soo cute at the same time. She is still being babysat by my mom, Jeremiah's dad, and my sister occasionally while we work. How blessed we are to have people we trust take care of our baby Poe. She is blooming into such a gorgeous little person and everyday just looking at her I feel so proud to be her mommy.
<br>
<br>
Milestones & New Discoveries :<br>
* Poesy is now eating cereal - slowly getting used to it still but she likes it!<br>
* She is still a major drooler.<br>
* Her newborn sized shoes STILL don't fit her yet, this kid is going to be wearing sandal in winter! (NOT!)<br>
* She loves chewing on everything!<br>
* Her eyes get prettier everyday.<br>
* She is a little snuggle bug.<br>

Zillow, Remax, Craiglist, Newspapers, Auto Feeds, Friends, Family, & Realtors, You name it! We are scouring our little town looking up and down for a new house to buy. It doesn't have to be perfect or fancy but it has to just feel right. We are looking for 3 bedrooms, a decent sized kitchen with appliances, and a yard for our Poe to play in. We have looked at a lot of houses and saw 9 in 2 hours this past Saturday. That was actually kinda fun except for the fact that it was blazin' saddles outside! Tonight we are looking at 3 more houses and I am hoping we see something we like. This is going to be our little starter home and I can't wait to get into something and not have to move again for at least 5 years. I'm ready to hang up my gypsy get-up and stay put for awhile and just make a million good memories with my little family:)
<br>
Here are some homes and quotes that keep me inspired while I continue on my search! (all from Pinterest, of course!)

<br>
<br>
Slow and steady wins the race!! Poesy had her appointment last Friday and she now weighs 10.13lbs. She has gained a just little weight but is still very healthy just teeny. I kind of like her this way, as long as she is healthy. Poe being tiny makes her stay a baby that much longer and I'm all for that! Today after her nap I found her completely turned around on her tummy lifting herself up with her arms. It was so cute! She is getting stronger, bigger, and more adorable everyday.
<br>
<br>
Milestones & New Discoveries :
<br>
* Poesy is offically teething!! SAD FACE!!
<br>
* She is still drooling like crazy so I ordered her a Baltic Amber Teething necklace, I'm hoping it works for her.
<br>
* She is talking more every day and laughs all the time now - LOVE IT!
<br>
* Poe is growing out of her 3 months sleepers but can still wear some newborn onesies
<br>
* Her feet are still so tiny her Newborn shoes are not fitting her yet
<br>
* She is reaching out and grabbing anything she can get her little mitts on!!! I think it is the cutest thing.
<br>
<br>
POESY POO I JUST LOVE YOU!!! <br>
My tiny girl is weighing in at a mere 10 lbs. 6 oz. She is small for her age but she is thriving, proportioned, and healthy so the Dr. said she is just a little peanut! So don't be fooled by her pictures I post, she really is a little thing. When people meet her for the first time they are usually shocked that she isn't bigger. Same as when I was pregnant with her people thought I looked a lot bigger in the photos than in real life! She had her 4 month check up last week and her shots. I hate shot days... it's make me sad to see her cry from the pain like that. I don't think I could ever get used to it! They did send her off with a little rubber ducky which was no consolation in my eyes, haha!
<br>
<br>
Milestones & New Discoveries :
<br>
* Poesy can stand by herself for a few seconds leaning against something
<br>
* She has rolled over from her tummy to her back a handful of times
<br>
* I made her laugh out loud for the first time tickling her and she has the cutest giggle I have ever heard in my life!!
<br>
* She is a drooling machine! She soaks through all her bibs and is always chewing on something or attacking her stuffed toys... she is a zombaby!
<br>
* I am able to comb her hair in piggies now, I love it! She sits really well while I comb her too.
<br>
<br>
I'm excited to see what she will be learning over the next couple weeks, she is so much fun!

living
We are currently stay at a local hotel due to the fact that a drunk driver drove through my parents living room a week ago. We were staying at my parents when it happened because we are trying to look for a new house to buy. So while they are working on the house we are enjoying hotel living and continental breakfast. My poor Poesy is turning in to a gypsy just like her momma! She doesn't seem to mind she look might cozy in that hotel bed above :)
<br>
<br>
watching
So as I said we are living in a hotel and I hate channel surfing soo all I have been watching is HGTV - tons of renovation shows and House Hunters. I love it! Jeremiah is getting sick of it! It's making me want to find a house asap but I have to be patient. It also makes me want to make a wishlist for what I want in out home. Definitely Central Air and a basement will make the list.
<br>
<br>
listening
I haven't got any new music lately so I have been listening to Bob Marley and Emmy the Great.
<br>
<br>
crafting
At the moment I working on some crocheted turban hats for babies. I made my niece Paige a few when she was born and they looked so cute on her so I thought I would make a bunch and try to sell them. I'm hoping to have a little online sale here withing the next few weeks if no I will save them for my craft show I do this fall.
<br>
<br>
looking forward to
Finding a home and staying there for at LEAST 5 years, I'm done with moving!
<br>

<br>
My little Poesy Quinn is learning new things everyday. She has rolled over, can stand up while leaning up against something, and has become quite the babbling boo! She talks and talks and talks in her little raspy voice. She has the prettiest big-open-mouthed smile I have ever seen but of course I'm never fast enough to capture a photo of it. She is taking longer naps and sleeps good through the night waking up only one time to eat.
<br>
We switched her from breast milk to a new formula since she has colic and it seems to be be working, she seems happier which make me happier. The only down fall to the new formula is the stinky/explosive diapers!!! Awe the joys of being a mom, as they say. Will I miss these stinky diaper one day?? Only time will tell.
<br>
<br>
<center> Here is my stinky Poe sleeping, she is so beautiful!

My very first Mother's Day was such an amazing day. I woke up that morning next to Poesy and it was the best feeling ever!!! The day was filled with family, fun, laughs, and gifts. I got Starbucks gift cards, a plant, flowers, chocolates, and a few other things but my most favorite gift was my baby girl. She completes our little family and make my heart skip a beat. This is the best time of my life :)

My life has forever changed since I had Poe -- She is my everything. We are at the 2 month mark and MY OH MY has time really really passed. She is just the cutest little thing. At first I was a little nervous becoming a mom but it seems like everything from calming Poesy down to sterilizing bottles has come quite natural for me.

<br>
<br>
I'm finally getting around to writing my labor and delivery story! So here we go...
<br>
<br>
February 21st I woke up at about 6 a.m to use the restroom, when I got out of bed the under part of my belly felt really weird... it was kind of tight and achy which pretty much felt like bad gas pains. I didn't think anything of it and went back to bed but couldn't fall asleep. I had been sick for a couple weeks already and was fighting off a really bad cough so I was gonna call off work but decided to just work until 2pm since I had a WIC appointment and breastfeeding class anyway. So after laying in bed for awhile the pain started to move around to my back as well, it felt like a complete band of tightness and a little pain around my entire waist and back. The pains would come and go and I was still convinced it was just gas. I decided to call my sister and ask her if she thought they could be contractions and she thought that they were probably just "braxton hicks" (basically fake contractions that prepare your body for the real ones). So I got up showered and started work. Throughout my work day they became increasingly more painful and closer together. I found myself placing my calls on hold during some them as they became for intense. I was instant messaging a few co-workers who were worried I was going to deliver the baby at home and kept tellling me to call my doctor or go to the hospital but I was still thinking "These are really bad gas pains!" lol.
<br>
<br>
So it was finally 2 o'clock and I was off of work. My mom came and picked me up because I needed more yarn to finish Poesy's sweater I was making her and wanted it done before she was born (yeaaaa that didn't happen)! So here I am walking through Hobby Lobby having some major contractions. That would suit me perfectly giving birth in the middle of a craft store. I made it safely back home and then Jeremiah came and picked me up for my WIC appointment and breast feeding classes. The WIC lady asked me if anything was wrong cause I had a worried look on my face. I told her I was having a contraction, she then got the lady from the breast feeding class to bring me all the information they were going to go over in class and said if I couldn't stay I didn't have to, so I didn't.
<br>
<br>
At this point I'm convinced these are real contractions but not that I was really in labor. Yes, I was in denial. I was freaked out that I was about to be in the most pain I have ever felt and I wasn't ready for that. I called my dr. and his nurse said that yes I should probably go to the hospital since my contractions were 5 - 8 minutes apart. We get ready and take Little Bear to my parents house and they came with us to the hospital. We arrive at the hospital it was about 6pm, I told Jeremiah just to leave our stuff in the car since they were probably going to be sending me home anyway. We check in, I got checked and I was already 5.5cm dilated. I was halfway there. So needless to say they weren't sending me home and I was about to have a BABY!!! I was feeling the pain but it was nowhere near as bad as I had built myself up to think it was going to be. I listened to music and laughed and even had to ask at one point if I was still having contractions. Toward the end I did get some pain meds but did not get an epidural. I had a wonderful support "team". My nurse was awesome and then I had Jeremiah, my mom and dad, Jeremiah's mom, my sister, my cousins Janice and Sam by my side, and few others who came in for a few minutes to wish me luck.
<br>
<br>
I was progressing pretty good, then it was time to push. I pushed for what seemed like forever but I guess it really wasn't that long. Before I knew it I was a mommy. Poesy was born at 11:53pm on February 21st. She was born with the fullest head of hair I have EVER seen and the cutest little face! I remember just feeling relieved knowing she was finally here. She completed my world and I couldn't happier :)

These photos were taken in our home when she was almost 3 weeks old by BIO photography which is couple of good friends of mine. They did a beautiful job capturing some precious memories.

Hopefully I will find time to keep blogging about my new life as a mom so check back often.

Well HELLOOO 37 weeks!!! Every pregnant chicks favorite two words I'm sure "FULL TERM" yay! We made it, we made it! I'm soo happy it's finally almost time to meet my little sweet Poesy girl. She is likely measuring around 18.9 to 20.9 inches and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. She's gaining about 1/2 ounce each day. I believe next week we will find out how much she is weighing at our weekly ultrasound.
<br>
<br>
Today we had our ultrasound and she scored 100% on all her little tests again. She had her hand balled up into a fist resting under her chin like she was thinking and it was just adorable! She is practicing her breathing really good too and is still head down. All of the stress test we have been doing every Friday are good and my blood sugar is under control. All good things!
<br>
<br>
We have our bags packed, nursery ready, washed baby clothes, house cleaned, carpets shampooed, car seat installed, paperwork ready, what am I missing?? The anticipation of not know when I am going to go into labor is a little nerve racking I'll admit and I'm always going over this list in my head making sure I have everything ready to go. Also, the thought that once that day comes my life will never be the same again and that is a crazy thought. It is going to change for the best of course but still kind of weird when you sit down and think about it.
<br>
<br>
This past Sunday one of my friends I had met from work came over to my house and painted my belly! It was soo fun and it came out fabulous... I left it painted all day, hahaha! She is starting to get her body painting business going and I was more than happy to let her practice on Poesy. Here are some photos from our little session...

<br>
My due date is just four short weeks away, March 10th! My once-poppy seed that I didn't even know existed until 5 months later could probably be able to breathe on her own if she was born right now. Most of her systems are in working order at 36 weeks and need just a little more time for her lungs to fully develop. Her lungs and breathing are doing good each week we go for our ultrasound so that is awesome! She is now the size of a honeydew and I can tell that she is having less room to move around in my belly. Most spots of my tummy are hard and you can feel her pretty much anywhere you feel around. During her last ultrasound we were told that she has a lot of hair and that makes me super excited!! At this point all I can do is wonder what she is going to look like beside the fact that we have got a pretty good idea with the 4-D ultrasound we had done. It's more like is she going to have dark or light skin and hair, green or brown eyes, my dimple chin or her daddy's dimpled cheeks!?? I can't freakin' wait! No matter what I know she will be adorable :)
<br>
<br>
At this point I have our hospital bags packed and her little coming home outfit ironed and I'm working on a little sweater to go with it. Hopefully I can get it done before she gets here along with her never ending "baby" blanket that turned into a throw sized or toddler sized blanket. Which is fine since she has a ton of smaller blankies anyway and she can use this one forever.
<br>
<br>
I turned 30 years old this month on the 4th and I am soo excited that I will get to share my 30's with a daughter of my own! I always said if I don't have kids by the time I'm 30 then I'm just not going to have any. Well looks like I am and I couldn't be happier. Jeremiah took us out for dinner on my birthday to Red Lobster. If you know me at all or even a little you might know that I LOVE shrimp!! So naturally I ordered shrimp, we had salads and bread before our meals and then when it was time for the shrimp Poesy had her butt, legs, and feet so high in my ribs I could barely breathe let alone eat! I managed to get a few down but let me tell ya it was hard and I didn't get dessert either. Sooooo needless to say this kid is gonna own me a birthday dinner someday, hahaha!
<br>
<br>
Here we are on Wednesday at our weekly ultrasound appointment...

<br>
So last week I was 35 weeks along...Growing, growing, growing. My uterus has grown about 1,000 times its original size, a number that might sound exaggerated but true! During week 35 baby girl was the size of a coconut. She's about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. From here on out, she won't get much longer, but she's plumping up.
<br>
<br>
Everyday I get more and more excited to meet my little peanut. Her room is completely ready, all her laundry is washed, folded, and put away! We just need to install her carseat - which we were going to do last weekend but didn't.
<br>
<br>
Lately I have been having back pain and it's getting harder and harder to get out of bed. My feet, ankles, and legs are now looking real similar to tree trunks and I can now feel the weight of my belly. Other than this cold I have been trying to get rid of I feel pretty good.
<br>
<br>
The first weekend of this month Jeremiah and I took some Valentine's Day themed pregnancy photos together. I'm glad we were able to get at least a couple together during the pregnancy. Most of you may have seen them already on Facebook but here they are again.
<br>
<br>
I'll be back in a few days with my 36 week update!

<br>
<br>
Just five weeks left!!!!
<br>
<br>
So I think I'm probably one of the few pregnant women who doesn't feel like you normally would at this stage in pregnancy whom at this point are usually sick of being pregnant and feel like they have been pregnant for what I'm guessing feels like forever. Since I didn't find out until the end of October and 5 months into it I'm still feeling pretty good. Excited to meet our baby of course but not like I'm gonna die or anything, hahaha. I can say I am pretty thankful for that. The only complaints I have are my back aches but with the help from this awesome pregnancy pillow a friend lent me and some pain cream I just started using they haven't been as bad. I just recently had my first case of swollen feet which went down by the next morning but keeps happening in the evening. Oh and the restless legs! I feel like I want to run a marathon at midnight and it's super annoying cause I just want to relax.
<br>
<br>
Today I went back to the Dr. for another ultrasound that I was actually supposed have yesterday but the Dr. ended up in surgery so I went in to get weighed basically :/ So they called me this morning and asked me to come in, they really wanted to get me in this week. SO I went in and they did her little tests - checked her kidneys, stomach, her movements, my placenta, and I'm sure other stuff I don't really know about. When they did her movement test they look for her hand or foot to see if she wiggles her fingers or toes and this time she was actually holding her foot in her hand. It was soo dang cute! She had a good grip on it too so the tech had me roll over on my side to get her to move her hand and she did. So she scored 100% on all her tests again this week! I think I have a little genius brewing ;)
<br>
<br>
This past week I got our bags packed ready for the hospital and our house is completely clean with the exception of the carpets that are getting shampooed this weekend. We are also installing our car seats in our vehicles this weekend too. I think we are ready! Just counting down the weeks, days, then minutes!!
<br>
<br>
Sunday we are doing some couple pregnancy photos so that will be my 35 week post - stay tuned!!

Here is a peek inside of Poesy's little corner of our home. We only have two bedrooms in the house so her and I have to share since I work from home and still need a space for my work station. I think we have made her area work well for the amount of room we have. I love it, it's so bright yet cozy.
<br>
<br>
So her "theme" is mostly based on vintage 80's characters that were my favorite as a kid. Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, and Care Bears! With a cupcake thrown in here and there.
<br>
<br>
Most of the decor I already had from when I was a little girl, have collected over the years, or made it!
<br>
<br>
OK let's get started with the mini tour...
<br>
Here is here crib that her Grandma & Grampa Cruz and Great Granny and Pops Gallegos bought for her. I made the crib bedding which is the Rainbow Brite blanket and cordinating pillows. I also made her mobile which is mostly just for pretty but I think later on I will add some multi-colored stars to it.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZzuHbGz8s6s/UQcVKpFLhaI/AAAAAAAAB80/OwxfG13lkbs/s1600/IMG_2667.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="400" width="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZzuHbGz8s6s/UQcVKpFLhaI/AAAAAAAAB80/OwxfG13lkbs/s400/IMG_2667.JPG" /></a></div>
On this baby sized book shelf is a vintage Strawberry Shortcake lamp her Uncle Chris and Auntie Melissa got for her this last Christmas and the little crocheted Strawberry Shortcake was bought for me by my Grandma Duran (my mom's mom) when I was just a baby, she had a lady make it for me when she worked at a bowling alley. To this day it is one of my most treasured toys. I know Poe is going to love it like I did. Next to the lamp is a little soothing sounds and projector machine that she got from her Auntie Mandi and Uncle Trevor for Christmas too.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SV7TikE5Ifg/UQcVLGW8ALI/AAAAAAAAB9A/tjAtax8grDI/s1600/IMG_2669.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="300" width="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SV7TikE5Ifg/UQcVLGW8ALI/AAAAAAAAB9A/tjAtax8grDI/s400/IMG_2669.JPG" /></a></div>
Here is Little Bear snoozing in his new favorite spot, the blanket in the backround was crocheted for me by mom when I was a baby and she just recently gave it to me. It looks like she just made it! The chair will soon be replaced with a glider I got from my cousins for the baby shower :)
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here are a few photos of the hutch which now has ALOT more stuff on it since the baby shower. I had the hutch and have used it for a lot of different things. It works great in the nursery since we don't have much storage space and I like to display whatever I can.

The toys here on the top of the hutch were all my childhood toys except for the Lalaloopsy doll on the far left she got from my friend Michelle for Christmas.

This little giraffe is very special, we got her when we went for our 4-D ultrasound and when you squeeze it you can hear Poesy's actually heartbeat!

The first picture from the left is a photo booth strip of Jeremiah that he gave to me when we first started dating -- He is holding up pictures he drew that say I Heart U! I love those pictures! The frame with Donald & Daisy Duck was again mine when I was a baby and has my baby picture in it still. The little one underneath that is a little one with bears in a tub my mom found and the two little girls are actually greeting cards I thought were cute.

And lastly hanging above her crib is my old Rainbow Brite night gown.

So this is her room and in just 5 short weeks we will be bringing here home to it. The total we have spent on the room would be about $75 total at the very most. That was spent on a couple rugs, fitted sheets, bumper, and supplies for the mobile. I think it is perfect for her and very personal. Sure the rooms with all new store bought decor are just as cute but for her to enjoy things that I used to love and hold is just so special to me. <br>
So the little sweetie is the size of a squash this last week! She weighs 4 lbs 11 oz according to our ultrasound we had on Thursday. We had another ultrasound because of my diabetes so they need to monitor her size since the diabetes can sometimes cause big babies and the dr. doesn't want her getting too big too fast and neither do I. They checked her breathing, her motor skills (moving her hand), her weight, and a few other measurements. The best score for these little tests is an 8 and she was right on target 8 out of 8! I'm so grateful for that and know that all my praying and prayers in the reason why. My sister came with me because Jeremiah was working, I'm glad she got to be there with me.
<br>
<br>
Our baby shower was today and I can't tell you how excited and grateful for our families do this for us. I have thrown and hosted many showers and never thought I would get to have one for my own baby. It's a miracle!
<br>
<br>
Her nursery is just about complete! I just need to get a few more things and make her mobile! I just haven't had the time this past month but I only have about 6 weeks left so I really need to get them done so I don't have to do it once she's here. Not like she will spend much time in her crib at first anyway but that's how I am I like to be prepared and at least somewhat organized! Speaking of which I REALLY need to pack our hospital bags THIS week!! Just in case. According to Poesy's Uncle Pete it could be any day now and he makes sure to remind me ;)
<br>
<br>
So here are our pictures from this week! Enjoy!
